The Brass Monkey was featured on every major news channel as well as Taiwan's leading newspaper, The Apple Daily!USC vs. OHIO September 13!
Loads of Alumni turned up for the USC vs. OHIO clash. The Trojans walked away with a victory and the Monkey was a very happy place that Sunday morning!

On June 26, 2009 The Taipei Baboons, The British Chamber of Commerce Taipei and The Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce held The Steve Borthwick Rugby Charity Dinner for Jack Liu who suffered a debilitating spinal injury in a game of rugby in Taipei.
Steve Borthwick the current England captain came over from England to help out. Steve accepted no speakers fee, and he didn't even let us pay for his airfare. Incredible.
NT$950,000 was raised for Jack which will go to help his rehabilitation and costly care bills.

All the guests came back to have a beer with Steve at The Monkey after the Steve Borthwick Rugby Charity Dinner.

School training, visiting Jack, Baboon Training and Ladies Night with Steve Borthwick
As part of his Taipei Tour, Steve Borthwick, the current England rugby captain had a hectic day on Thursday.
It started with an 8am interview at ICRT, followed by a training session with the Taipei Physical Education College.
He then made a very special visit to see Jack in hospital donating his own jersey from the first Argentinian Test and a hoodie.
After spending some time with Jack it was off to take the Baboons through their paces followed of course by a visit to Ladies night where he was cornered by Barry and some Jameson shots!
